Many brilliant academic findings unfortunately do not create the full extent of the impact they were intended to produce in the world. It is not a failure of the research, far from it. It is simply outside of the scope of universities and research institutions to make their insights widely known, especially across borders. Hence, many populations that could vastly benefit from academic learnings never get the chance to act upon that knowledge.
